How we got started
Same old problem just another day
It’s no secret that getting abadás in the United States can be a struggle. Juston “Talento” was getting frustrated of having to constantly find new suppliers and hoping the fit and quality would be as consistent with his last order. After coming across a Facebook thread where dozens of other capoeiristas were struggling with the exact same thing, he knew it was time to change things up. So, in a Capoeira way, he adapted and got to work building out a new way to get abadás in the US.
New pants, new ideas
This was an opportunity to fix other problems too. We’re talking about the fit. We’re here to train martial arts, not to advertise. A modified fit was developed, with more room in the thigh and lap so men have a more modest fit. A thicker fabric than traditional helanca was chosen to help keep those colorful underwear a mystery. Finally, we did a quick switch on the sizing. Our abadás are sized to what our new students would expect to pick up at any clothing store, not the “go a size bigger” that is needed now. Through all that, performance was essential so a soft, flexible, moisture wicking fabric was chosen to keep you kicking even through the hardest class.

These pants are a modification of the traditional abadá fit with more room in the thigh and lap, so the guys out there can focus on throwing kicks, not on what you’re showing your training partner. The high performance moisture-wicking poly/spandex blend fabric is soft for a great feel while being flexible enough for even the highest martelo.
